Can anybody explain to me how x+x=y on the QR part of achiever test 1

Call the third angle int he triangle z.

Would you agree that 180 - y = z ?

Wouldn't you also agree that x + x + z = 180, and therefore 180 - 2x = z ?

If you do, then 2x = y (x+x=y)

Thanks, that's a lot easier. Achiever doesn't really explain some of these problems very well.
