I took the DAT on extended time and couldn't remember if this special accommodation was ever reported on the score report (got it misplaced, duh). As far as I can tell, this issue would not be brought up during the interviews at least in my case. I would make use of this privilege to nail the DAT though.🙂
the option for getting extra time on the exam is due to the Americans with disabilities act...i highly doubt that u would be discriminated for using extra time due to a disability it only evens the playing ground, for ppl with disabilities...and i think (not sure) it's against the law for schools to see that u were accomodated so it wouldn't skew an admission commitee's decision...
think of it kind of as affirmative action its in place there so minorities can't get discriminated against...so the Americans with disabilities act is in place so ppl with disabilities aren't discrimnated against...
for ppl who will respond to this and say "well u shouldn't even be allowed to be a dentist if ur disabled" need to go shove it, just cuz some ppl are born with certain problems or have developed problems along the way doesn't mean theyre not competent it's just a damn test it doesn't even determine the amount of success ull have in dental school.
