I saw that article, interestingly the FDA recalled it due to liver issues.

This kind of stuff will just continue to happen with such a high demand for magical pills for weight loss.

the most knowledgable people about pills are certainly pharmDs, hydroxycut should have hired a pharmD to paddle their stuff because of the greater trust the general public have toward PharmDs.

Clearly you are new to all of this. See, residents are the most clueless people around vis-a-vis drug therapy. Most of them will freely admit this. They are the only people that actually try to send home patients coming off of IV vanc on PO vanc. But that's just because they haven't learned anything about drugs yet. Eventually they grow into big, strong board certified physicians or whatever...but the idea of taking drug recommendations off of a first year resident is chuckle-worthy...as was displayed in the Hydroxycut commercials.
