Hey guys,

I feel like I remember some OD/toxin ingestion where you acidify the urine, but I can't recall what it is. Anyone have any thoughts?

Now that might be what they say in first aid but it's not really accurate. Treatment of amphetamine intoxication is really supportive, with . Urine acidification is no longer recommend and actually has potential for harm. These patients can have extreme muscle hyperactivity due to the agitation, which leads to lactic acidosis and the risk of rhabdo. So people frequently give Sodium Bicarb combat the acidemia and maintain high urine output to prevent pigment nephropathy.
