Acknowledgments in a paper vs listed author

Acknowledgements don't really count. It usually means that someone helped out in a way that does not merit authorship. Whatever it is you did would already be listed in the experience section as "research" or as "employment" or "volunteer", right? You could throw into the description of your effort that you were acknowledged in ... and then insert the citation but don't expect this to "count" as much as a publication.
