-GH increases insulin resistance which leads to high glucose (diabetogenic) [page 317 FA 2017]
-Secretion of GH is inhibited by glucose... [page 317 FA 2017]
-Acromegaly diagnosis: failure to suppress serum GH following oral glucose tolerance test [page 333 FA 2017]

So if level of GH is already continuously very high in acromegaly, it'll cause continuous resistance of insulin which will cause hyperglycemia continuously yeah? If so, what is the point of oral glucose? It's like adding a tidbit of glucose in a already high pool of glucose. Why not just take blood sample and if GH and glucose are both very high in repeated blood test, acromegaly can be confirmed. I mean obviously I know I am thinking something wrong since the glucose tolerance test is proven so clearly im missing something. So help me out? haha thank you guys! I appreciate your help.
