i am still worried about questions about the bones, neuroscience, and the reproductive system in the human body. we never covered anything about these topics in my biology courses. do actual dat have few questions about these topics or many (6 or more questions)???

yup, the DAT will most likely ask about cells of bones, i.e. osteoblasts clasts and cytes, along with rest potential membrane, whether the K is higher or the Na, along with much more physiology stuff

definitely go over bones. I got screwed on that question

Yes.. I had a question or two that dealt with blasts, clasts, and the canals. Also make SURE you know the components of a sacromere. The z-line, h-zone,... etc, as there were 2 or 3 that related to the muscles and sacromere under contraction.

Hope it helps, and good luck.

UMDNJ Class of 2010

yeah, blasts and clasts. i got confused during the exam and got it wrong.

i meant anything about bones. i don't know anything about bones other than they are strong in humans. i am going to take human anatemy and phsyiology in the spring before taking the dat in the summer. i hope it will help.

just go over the blurb in Kaplan's book and you'll be fine. They will not ask anything specific on bones.

Take the Kaplan class--just suck it up and try it if you haven't. They really tell you everything you need to know. I never did the practice sections for class (except PAT--those were fun-ish), but I studied like a MANIAC the week before and it definitely paid off. I hadn't taken general biology since senior year of high school, so it REALLY helped. I got a C (my first ever) in 2nd semester organic, and I got a 27 (!!!) on the DAT ORG. My score sheet said 100.0 percentile. That's my two cents.

i did the same. this should help you tons, but make sure you also go over the finer details you might not have time to go over in depth in class. it really cut down on my study time for the DAT because most of it was fresh in my mind.
