Hi everyone, so my exam is in 2 weeks. I generally finish the science sections early...I was wondering, say i have 15 minutes left...can i let the timer run and use the bathroom before the PAT section? Is that allowed?

Do yourself a favor and only drink a bottle of water maybe three hours before the test. Bring a bottle of water to swish around your mouth but don't drink it. You shouldn't go to the bathroom at any time other than the designated break tbh

It's allowed but checking in and out is a process that will eat into your time left. It may be worthwhile for you to go to bed earlier and wake up earlier so you can have your coffee and eliminate the need for the bathroom break at the center

If you finish sciences 15 minutes early, you can start PAT right away and get to the bathroom faster. If you're really worried about needing to use the bathroom which would distract you on PAT, try doing a practice test where you drink your coffee first and don't use the bathroom until after PAT. Even if you have to go really bad by the end, at least you'll be used to it haha

Yeah I don't know why people are deterring you from going to the bathroom if you finish sciences early. That perfectly fine. Better to do that than change up your morning routine by having to wake up earlier or not drinking coffee. I think sticking to your routine and feeling comfortable is more important.

I wasn't trying to deter necessarily. I just think it's best not to rely on that time in case science takes longer than expected or for some reason it takes you a while to get back into the room. You don't want to lose precious PAT time

If you can do it then I think it's fine for sure. Just make it a quick bathroom trip.

Just don't plan on it.
