Hi all, I am in my first clinical rotation and was wondering if anyone had any advice/topic ideas for an inservice. I am in an acute care hospital working on the medical/surgical, ICU, telemetry floors. The patient population is mostly geriatric, with CVAs, ortho surgeries, cardiac pts, etc. Any help would be appreciated! (I have already asked my CI about early mobilization, and she said the last student did that so I need to find something different). Thanks in advance 🙂

Do something related to the current events.

See if you can look at some protocols for mobility of COVID patients, some education you might pass on to patients as they recover and leave the hospital for next level of care or for home.

Importance of breath work, etc.

Do one on open and closed suctioning. PTs are terrified of it. Perform on CI.
