Some of that material isn't too crazy.

Why do I feel like my life is just one giant exam after another?

First SAT/ACT, then GRE, then DAT, then NBDE part 1, then NBDE part 2 and maybe now the ADAT thrown in there somewhere.

That's literally all it is

Good for you. No one is forcing you to take these exams. Keep that in mind.

I'm getting way ahead of myself posting this in the pre-dent forum, but I know many people are curious as to what the "ADAT" will look like. If you've never heard of it it's the new test designed for admission to specialty programs now that the boards are pass/fail. Here's the official practice test.

My friend, you are on top of this stuff. Keep on with your diligence, and you are going to have your pick of residencies.

You sure are spreading a negative vibe on SDN. Just my observation. Please don't send me a PM.

Just had to be honest. It's a public forum. She should recognize how privileged she is to even be able to take those exams, as some people can't even afford the fee to do so. No one's forcing her to do anything.

I was dating an engineer at the time when I was studying for the DAT. He couldn't understand why I couldn't do TFE. He even tried to help me by bringing home blueprints from his job so I could practice with those. Nope.
That's dedication right there.

Reported you. Keep it up. I'm sure your maturity will fare well with dental schools, bud--that is, if you even get in.

Hopefully with that report the mods will recognize how much of a negative person you are and will ban you instead!
LOL. I hope so too, this person is unnecessarily rude, and negative, often offering unwarranted advice justified by 'just being honest'. Also doesn't seem to know what she's talking about. I feel bad for her patients if she somehow manages to fool interviewers by disguising her unpleasant demeanor/overall level of maturity and gets into dental school.

Not negative but honest. Someone with that kind of childish attitude isn't gonna fly in any dental school (under the assumption he matriculates). His post was unwarranted/inappropriate and I had to call him out on it.

I think you just need to look at how many people liked my post in such a short amount of time. You're being rude all over the forums. Yes, maybe honest, but also rude. "Calling people out on it" is something high schoolers do.

I don't know what I'm talking about? Anyone with common sense can tell you the chances of you doing well in an SMP program after a 3.0 in undergrad is extremely low. That's just the reality. That's why I was suggesting to you that you should focus on a post-bac instead. 30,000 of debt on a gamble isn't a good idea at all.

If you mistake my honesty with rudeness, then sure. I'm being "rude" everywhere. Did you always enjoy trying to spite a potential dissenter in order to take a cheap shot?

Hey if I were you, I'd take that cross off my profile pic. You are representing that thing well. Fyi.

But I'm not you. It's important to me so it will remain as my profile pic. Appreciate your input though.

I started junior year with a <2.9 sGPA and a 3.0 oGPA. I finished undergrad with a 3.45 sGPA and a 3.5 oGPA by pulling 4.0's for the remaining four semesters. I then scored a 24 AA/25 TS on my DAT. I don't really get where you're getting that their chances are extremely low... Anyone can get good grades, just have to devote yourself to it. People who have low GPAs can easily turn it around, and with an SMP they get a fresh start. That's the reality.

You obviously don't know the circumstances or situation that a person with a 3.0 GPA in undergrad was in. It doesn't make them incapable of doing well. By your logic, Bill Gates or Steve Jobs wouldn't do well in a Masters either because neither finished school.

Thanks, that was really encouraging 🙂

To be completely honest, you're not very nice. You're quite arrogant and condescending. I'm not being negative, just honest. It's one thing when one person says it, it's another when you've got a whole group of people who have never met each other, independently coming to the same conclusion about someone based on their comments.
You give me the vibe of the nightmare classmate in dental school. Gunner, manipulator, cutthroat, and an overall sense of negative energy.
You've got a lot of growing up to do young lady. Sorry to be so brutally honest.
