ADC scope 602 or 603?

ADC scope 602 is said to be a copy of Cardiology III. But people have recommended ADC 603 as well. I guess 603 is the newer version and it's cheaper. How do 602 and 603 compare in terms of quality?

Take it for what you will, here's my personal experience:

I have a Littmann Classic II SE, but wanted the Cardiology III, so I got the ADC 602, because I heard the same stuff you must've heard. I am now back to the Littmann Classic II SE and wishing I had just spent the extra money and gotten the Cardiology III instead.

In short: I vote to get the Cardiology III.

My opinion is that your stethoscope is not the place to try to save lots of money. In the broad scheme of things, a cardio III is not that much money and you're gonna be stuck with your stethoscope for quite a while. Even if you wind up rarely/never using a stethoscope again after med school, that's still 4 years of using one every day.

You can easily save a ton of money by using online/library books, etc. Just get what you really want for a stethoscope so you don't feel like you have to upgrade later.

For what it's worth, the cardio III is excellent. It's clearly well made/quality. Durability has been excellent for me so far. Comfortable. All that jazz.

I lost my last scope; luckily it only cost $30.
 
I think I have the 602...it's the ADC that looks like the Cardiology III. I like it just fine. All the residents, and med students in the hospital seem to have either the Littmann cardiology III or the classic SE II, and I might get one down the road. But the ADC is serving me well for now, it looks nice, has worked fine so far, I haven't had any issues with heart sounds or seeing patients (at least to my ears, though I never compared it to other scopes, as this is the only stethoscope I've properly listened through). I like that it only cost $70, since I won't feel as bad if it gets dinged, scratched, lost, or stolen, as compared to damaging or losing a $120 stethoscope.
