so in regards to the oral form of ADHD meds the part about IV use and the risk of HIV only applies to IV drug users not those who legally take meds for this. This is pretty interesting though.

As a psych resident who gets asked about this from other providers time and again, I say this: "Look, the mom is taking this med to treat ADHD or ADD. Neither of these are deadly or potentionally deadly diseases. Stop the drug"
