Adding additional schools for FAFSA

I've already submitted my FAFSA, and I was wondering if anyone knows how to add more schools for the FAFSA to be sent to. I'm not talking about replacing schools I already sent the FAFSA to, but having the FAFSA sent to other schools. Any idea?

You should be able to access your current FAFSA file online if you know your pin number. There is an option for Making Corrections and it is really easy. You just select the sections that you want to update and it will let you add the schools.

Just go to www.fafsa.ed.gov/

and click on the link for making the corrections.

is it okay that we had to delte some schools to add the new ones?

will the schools we deleted still get the fafsa?

Yes, it is fine to delete schools after your FAFSA has been initially processed to add new ones. Both the original and new schools will get the info. This is all outlined in the FAFSA instructions (when I wanted to know this kind of thing, I usually wouldn't stop worrying until I read the fine print from the source).

If we make a correction to add another school, will the schools already listed be sent another copy? Or will it only send a copy to the new school?

it will only send a copy to the new schools you designate. thats not a problem if you're not changing anything else in the FAFSA besides the schools. If you are correcting other things, you'll need to send the old schools a copy
