Hi everyone, new user here.

I just took the DAT and did pretty well. I have 10 colleges attached to the DAT registration, but I want to add another 9. Is there a way to access my registration online and add them? Filling out the score report form is a lot more work than just checking boxes and give a credit card number. (mostly because I have to get money order to pay for it).

Thanks in advance.

You do not need to pay money for your score report starting this year.. are you saying that you added 10 colleges before you took the DAT? Once you have designated dental schools listed on your AADSAS, the official reports will be sent automatically within 2-3 weeks (ADA uploads, then AADSAS downloads the report and sends them to your listed schools).

Don't need to pay money for a score report? So the DAT registration is free? I think not. I registered for the DAT, and checked off the boxes for 10 schools. Now I've taken the DAT, and I want to add 9 more dental schools to the registration. How do I go about doing that?

No, you don't need to pay for a score report. This year the ada sends your scores to aadsas and they are printed on your application for all schools to see. Some schools want the scores from the ada, but most don't. Call and check which ones want it.

If you still want to pay extra money for no reason to the ada. Then you can go on their website and pick the extra 9 schools. http://www.ada.org/dat.aspx Look at step 5.

If you are talking about aadsas adding more schools. Then just login and add the 9 more at the dental school designation part.

you do pay when you register but not for score reports. don't waste your $25 per school for that fee. there were multiple threads concerning this problem but I believe ADA does not refund the fee that you have already paid for score report. clearly they indicated for AADSAS 2011 that we don't have to send the report individually. AADSAS takes care of it.

Sorry, I missed the other discussions on this.

Then why do we have to pick which schools scores should go out to when registering for DAT in the first place? Would I lose anything by selecting ALL of the options?

Also, how soon and late after I register for DAT for the first time can I take the test?

I'm sure this has been discussed in great detail before, but I'm kinda new at this :/

Before you only could pick five schools for free. If you registered before July.

Now you can pick as many as you want, if you paid $285. You would not lose anything if you selected them all.

You can take the test as soon as the ada approves your registration, within a week. Then you need to pick a day, you can pick any day you like, but it can be full sometimes for 2-3 weeks in advance. You can check empty seats now on the ada website.

I am still not clear on this. So what if I registered before July and indicated 5 schools then, but I am applying to more than those 5 school? Do I need to pay ADA more money or will AADSAS take care of it?

Don't pay. It will be printed on AADSAS for all schools you pick. Schools should accept it. Some schools might not, but almost all do.
