Adding New LOR?

I’ve been working at my gap year position since June, and have developed a great relationship with my boss and recently asked him to write me a LOR almost as an update to schools on the clinical work I’ve been doing. At this point I’ve been complete at all of my schools since end of July. Would creating a new letter in AMCAS for this make me no longer complete at schools since they would then need my new LOR as well?

It did not for me. I got my final extra LOR in after I had been complete quite a while and none of my statuses changed. It just showed the letter was added when I checked the online portals
