Adding schools mid-cycle

Hi everyone,

I applied to 8 DO schools this cycle and have 4 interview invitations so far with 1 pre-interview hold. One school resulted in a waitlist, the other I interviewed at I might hear back tomorrow. I'm getting very anxious about my chances and this already being a reapplication, I really do not want to go through this again. My GPA is ~3.7, MCAT ~29R.

Do schools look down upon someone who had an early AACOMAS verification but added their school about 2 months in?

I know that the one you are waiting to hear from is Nova, but what other schools you applied to?

If all the schools you applied to are the ones considered "more establised", then you may want to add a couple "safety net" schools. With your GPA and MCAT and two upcoming interviews, I think your chances are still very good.

I would wait and how it goes with Nova and then decide accordingly.

Add a few schools and pre-write the secondaries.

I doubt they're even going to notice when you were verified and when you added their school. Even if they do, I doubt it would hurt you.

Good luck to you, I've been complete for only a couple weeks with identical stats. I'm hoping I'll get as many ii's as well.
