Did a search here and on aamc.com and came up empty-handed.

Anyone know what happens if we add a school post-verificaiton? I know we have to re-certify and re-submit, but does that mean re-verify?

Adding schools is quick and easy and cheap. There is no re verification.

yea...but dont forget that deadlines are around nov 1st.

Right, except for the cheap.

No new verification process...you're just adding a school that will get a copy of your already verified application.

To reassure yourself, if needed, email AMCAS or call them.

I just did that and did not have to re-verify, so don't worry about it.

are you sure we do not have to go through that active/verfied/processed junk again? I added two schools and once I hit "FINISH" on the medical school list page I have to recertify my application in order for the change to go through. I am just worried that I have to go through that whole process again, becasue from what I hear it now takes about four weeks for the applications to get processed. Thanks :scared:

"Recertify" is when you promise that you're still telling the truth on the application. There isn't any re-verification.

Hi, I did a search on adding schools later and this thread came up. I have a couple questions about adding schools after submitting AMCAS.

1) How much does it cost per school? Is it more expensive to add them later?

2) I am (re)taking the August MCAT. I am thinking of adding schools based on my score, but would it be too late to add schools then? I mean, it would be mid-October and I would only get secondaries from those schools then, so does it make sense to do delay the process even though it is getting pretty late already?

Thanks!
