Adding schools to FAFSA after submitting

If I have already submitted FAFSA and want to add schools, I understand that I can open my application, remove schools, add new ones, and resubmit it. However, if I have not yet received aid packages from several of the schools on my previous FAFSA list (i.e. those schools where I already submitted my FAFSA), is it still safe to delete them from the FAFSA list? I assume so but just want to confirm. Thanks!

Absolutely!!!! Once it is transmitted, the schools have the information. Deleting the school on the form does not cause the Department of Education to go to the schools and pull your information back. What you want to do is the only way to get the information to more than 10 schools. You are totally fine!!!

The only thing to keep in mind is that if you make any changes to your information, only the last schools remaining on the list will receive them, so you'll have to repeat the process all over to make sure everyone you want to see the changes sees them.
