Hello! I am in a bit of an unfortunate situation, as I recently had to withdraw from my MS program due to some extenuating circumstances. However, I've already submitted my AMCAS application and have had it verified with my Fall semester MS courses on it. Am I able to amend this change or does anyone know any particular steps to make to clarify while applying? I'd hate to be penalized for something largely outside my control despite having an otherwise strong application.
Thank you!

If the school has a secondary prompt that would lend itself to sharing this information, use that opportunity to say, "du to extenuating circumstances, I have withdrawn from the MS program at [school name] and will not be taking the courses listed on the AMCAS application in Fall 2025."

If the school doesn't have a secondary prompt that fits the bill, just send an email to the admissions office with your name and AMCAS application number with the same text as above.

Don't worry about it... adcoms know that situations come up and plans sometimes change.
