Additional information on secondaries

On the secondaries, the school usually ask if there is any additional information, or extenuating circumstances that you would like them to know. Is it bad to leave this section blank?

I left those areas blank as I felt they were there for applicants to explain a bad trend in grades or some area that was lacking on their application.
