Last year, my college completed a composite letter for my application. I decided to take an additional gap year so I will now have an LOR from my PI. According to my school, I can get a new composite letter that incorporates the new PI letter (highlights included in the composite and the actual letter attached). Alternatively, I can submit my composite and the LOR from the PI separately. I expect the letter to VERY strong so I would really like it to be read. Any thoughts on whether I am better off having it as a stand alone or as a composite?
