The University of Minnesota Division of OMS is looking to add or accept a transfer of an OMS resident to the PGY-3 cohort starting July 1st, 2025. This request is due to an increase in the OR case load and expanding clinical requirements secondary to the recent addition of two full time faculty additions and anticipation of another full time faculty in the next year.
An appropriate candidate must have completed PGY 1 and partial PGY2 as well as 4 months of anesthesia, 3 months of medicine, and 4 months of surgery. Completion of Pediatric Anesthesia is preferred but not required. Only current residents in training will be considered.
The final two years of training will encompass 9 months on the OMS service, 2 months of plastic surgery and one month of private OMS practice. Chief year will consist of 12 months 3 as chief resident at 3 institutions and 3 months in private OMS practice with current faculty. The schedule is subject to change based on needs and case load.
