I need to address a LOA on ERAS. The site asks "was your medical education extended/interrupted" and asks for a reason. My LOA was medical and did not interfere with my performance in clerkships or step I. I did not address this in my PS, how extensively should I discuss this on ERAS? I plan on not going into detail but simply stating the dates of my leave, that it was due to an acute medical issue and the fact that my performance remained unaffected. Any thoughts? Might be a good question for aprogdirector! Thanks!

Reviewers will likely see a LOA as a red flag unless there's an explanation somewhere. It doesn't really need to be more specific than what you've stated here--just something general to give the leave context. The longer the leave, the more necessary an explanation. You don't really want to put the reviewer in the position of mentally filling in the blanks for themselves.
