ADH or vasopressin is screted by posterior pituitary when baroreceptors and osmoreceptors sense certain changes.

1. boold volume decreased --> blood pressure drops --> by baroreceptor -->ADH increases

2. osmolarity increased by osmoreceptors --> ADH increases

my question here is in #2... why not somolarity decreased? could anyone explain this clearly?

thanks

If osmolarity increases, stuff is more concentrated {less water}. osmoreceptors sense high osmolarity in blood and activate ADH to restore the water levels.
