Fascinating studies. Mortality rate remains the same in patients with good adherence (> 80%) to either BP/ cholesterol meds or placebo.. It’s not what you take that matters; it’s the adherence to regimen!!

Or perhaps these patients were also highly adherent to their background CHF therapies, thus negating any mortality benefit seen with the study intervention?

However there is a difference between two groups when adherence was poor (< 80%), but not when it was > 80% in 2nd study.
