hey guys i have a question....first off this is my first of probably many posts on SDN haha...i am applying to schools in september but i am retaking my mcat because i just got the scores back and needless to say i was not to happy with them...i have a 3.2 cum gpa and a 3.2 science gpa....i am signed up to retake the test on August 14th but the scores are not supposed to be released until September 15th...will i be ok if i wait for my scores and send in my applications after the 15th? if someone could write back, i would really appreciate it...thanks guys

dont worry about it. the fact of the matter is that people with your stats are most likely applying to some schools now for THIS year and still getting in, though with limited options.

dont worry. you will be fine. if anything it is a letdown. last october, i send in my app, interviewed 3 places and was accepted 3 places within about 3 and a half weeks. I have been bored out of my mind since then. granted, I am not in school currently, but still, it was fun to have some suspense and something to look forward to.

JPK... Hey don't worry i am in the same exact boat as you(3.3 cum, 3.1 science) and i am retaking my MCAT the same time and getting released on the 15th. I plan on sending in my application in around september 1st and than sending my MCAT scores on the 15th as soon as they get released...I think our stats are good and our applications are getting in very early which is very good.... Where are you thinking about applying?? how many of the 9 schools if you dont mind me asking...

dmu, azpod and scholl. easy decision too. DMU blew the others away. get away from the fact that it is iowa.

apsprepod..right now my two top schools would probably be new york and temple...im also going to apply to ohio, barry, and scholl...im not sure if i should apply to more or not but those im pretty sure of...where you looking to apply?

i will probably apply to all the podiatry schools in the country... But the schools i am most interested in are Scholl, Barry, DMU and AZPOD as of now.
