Hey Guys,
I am a non traditional student applying to allopathic medical schools next cycle.

I have extensive research experience(3+ years while in college) and 2 years post graduation and 2 publications(none are first author).
I have decent volunteering experience and I am pursuing more volunteering tutoring middle and high school students from underserved communities.
However, I have an IA from my freshman year. I played a stupid practical joke(not trying to make excuses) and ended up getting charged with sexual harassment and computing ethics violation. I was put under probation for 6 months and fined $100. It sounds much worse than what it is...
My supervisor for my resident assistant position, who I am working with for the 3rd year, has address this incident and written about my character and integrity in her recommendation for me.
I have been clear and honest in my essay about this incident. I wanted some advice/opinions in how to deal with this and anyone from the AdCom can comment how my application will be viewed.

Thank you guys in advance

oh, man.

Hope it works out for you though....

This might be hard to get past. I think @LizzyM has said before that at her school, there is a separate committee that just looks at IAs by themselves and determine whether you are admissible on your IA alone. I think that also means that they won't look at other portions of your app, so they won't see what your advisors and program directors have written about you.

Yes, how you describe the IA (institutional action) needs to stand on its own because in some cases, that will all that will be examined before you get pushed forward for full review or dumped with no further consideration.
