I keep reading from people that the admission people like to see improvements on the applicant's stats if one one is reapplying. Does this mean that they keep one's records around in order to compare one's improvements to the previous year's grades and so forth? And if so, does this mean that they keep everyones' records for the next year? I find it hard to believe that the schools keep our records around after the application year is over, so how exactly do schools compare one's improvements? Moreover, is it even worth mentioning to schools that you are a reapplicant?

Schools dont hold on to your application. If you are a reapplicant, you have to state this in the application. Based on your transcripts, they can see if there was improvement in your grades during your year of reapplying.

Um Texas definitely holds on to the complete application. And will tell you over the phone that they still have LoR's and everything to compare.

One of the reasons I ask is because I included a school where I only took one course and didn't do so hot. I was thinking about not including this school in next years AADSAS application, assuming things do go as planned this year and I have to reapply. What do you think?

Are you asking whether or not you should lie on your application? Prepare to recieve a lot of flak from people in this forum. Most people would say "NO" do NOT lie under any circumstances. I was totally upfront with all of my shortcomings on my application and I still recieved interviews. Just remember its all about the karma. What goes around always comes around and it'll probably come back to bite you in the arse. 🙂

DISCLOSE EVERYTHING. If you don't include the school when you apply and they find out, you'll more than likely be denied without question
