If a program has both an advance and categorical track, are we still able to rank both tracks if we only applied to one of them in ERAS.
For example, I applied to an advanced spot for one program which also has a categorical spot, come rank time am I able to rank both the advanced and categorical spots or am I limited to just the advanced spots?

Also, if it is limited to what you put on ERAS, if I decided that I would also like to rank categorical but did not apply for it for ERAS, would it be possible to go to ERAS after the interview to click on the categorical option and be considered?

You can rank any program you’d like. NRMP is a completely different program than ERAS. You can rank any program you’d like...including a random Derm you never interviewed. Programs will generally rank you for both their advanced and categorical spot.

I would contact the program coordinator just to ask/let them know. If you haven't actually applied for it, the program might not rank you for it? This might vary depending on the program, but I would contact them just to be safe and ask about your scenario.
