Advanced Position

So I matched into an Advanced Position. Given the fact I previously did a intern year, I'll have this upcoming year "off". I want to stay involved in medicine and was wondering if u guys had any creative ideas or potential opportunities.

Also, I was curious as to what is the typical amount of correspondence from these advanced positions. WHen do we sign contracts and such?

Does catching GC in Thailand count as "staying involved with medicine" ?

As for contracts, I'm starting CA-1 in July and still got nuthin'.

Get a license and moonlight as a GP. Check with the locum companies.

Do some BS research. Send a bunch of e-mails to research programs. Eventually someone will bite. You might not get paid though.

Do a masters in public health.
