I am on the wait list and sent a letter of intent late March early April. I sent an update email last week but sent it from an email that was not listed in my application. I had sent an earlier email from this same email and never got a response. Now I am wondering if the update email was even received as I have not heard anything back from the school. I thought about re-sending it but I don't want to be the pest and hurt my chances at being accepted because I have annoyed them one to many times. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

That's not really an odd issue. You could just call them. You could also email them another more recent update letter. Some schools just don't send responses to updates though, so you could email them and explicitly ask if they have received your update.

Also be aware that major movement off of a lot of waitlists will start happening after next week.

you don't close your letter by signing/typing your name and AMCAS number? even with just your name on the update letter, you are fine.

either or, calling to see if they received it is okay too.

I'm going to echo others and say call them. I'm currently on multiple waitlists and after sending things, I ask for responses and always get them - aside from one school. I had to contact them again to double check and basically got a "we are getting everything from you don't worry about it" response. Not sure why they usually don't respond, but they don't lol (maybe it's the same school)
