Advice for dermpath personal statements

Hi all,

I am applying for dermpath fellowships and would like to know what kind of things you included in your personal statements for your prior applications, for those who have applied and were accepted into fellowships previously.

Try to convey your interest in the field without just regurgitating your CV. If you are path trained, wouldn't hurt to talk about/embellish your interest in clinical dermatology as well.

See examples on the internet, but do not regurg your CV as the poster above me said, do not say anything that could be even be remotely construed as wierd/creepy (ie I like dermpath because I like looking of pictures of naked skin).

Basically these essays are a last ditch attempt prior to live interviews to weed out the psychos.
