Hey i've been looking over the schools i applied to and 2 of them are group interviews. I was wondering if the people here who have been in group interviews have any tips. Thanks!

NOVA -Group interview - Open File
Temple - Group interview - Closed File

Now i'm assuming "open file" means they have everything, but what dont they have with closed file?

Nova does not do group interviews. Where did you get that information?

Thats weird, but the interview is definetly one-on-one, or in may case it was two-on-one. I wouldn't worry about Nova's interview, it was one of the more easy going ones i went on. Good Luck 😀

I would like to clarify a little something...

Nova does not do "group interviews" in the sense that you are with other applicants, which some schools do. They do however have more than one person interviewing you at the same time. I hope that is a little more clear.

I have an interview at NOVA next week, October 13. Is anyone else scheduled for the same date?

As far as I know, NOVA has a very good clinical program and technologically advanced. Is there anything else NOVA is proud of or known for?

Any advice is greatly appreciated 🙂

Some pretty cool cranial-facial research going no here. Also the pass rate for the Florida boards is very high, in the hign ninetys.

Lots of good looking girls from the medical and other health prof schools (in the same building).

My interview is on 11/5.... and I am not sure how many people will be interviewed that day too. Would be interesting to know if anyone else got an interview the same date.

How's it compared to the national average on both boards? Also, do you have any fraternities or anything that helps you to cope with class load? 🙂

Speaking of girls, what is the distribution like? Not.... like it's gonna affect my decision or anything 🙂 but just out of curiosity 😉 .... My girlfriend can't wait till "WE" move out somewhere like Florida 😀

i'm interviewing there on 10/14. anybody on same day?

omar

A friend told me that if your group is sitting around a table, it would be wise to sit directly across from the interviewer. That way, chances are that you won't have to be the first to answer a question. Also, you'll be able to maintain good eye contact with the interviewer.

Will Donald Trump be there? 😀

Can anybody help me out here...? How come I haven't heard from NOVA yet? I already had my interview at UF but I would like to interview at NOVA. I applied in mid July. I called Su-Ann and she said that she has all of my paperwork. I have friends that applied in the beginning of June and mid June that alreadyu got interviews for late december. I guess it's rolling admission, or interviews, so hopefully I'll hear from them soon. Any suggestions would be appreciated...I'm so nervous.

Bump bump bump...could someone please help me? Thanks in advance.

This probably isnt any help, but I am in the same position. I applied mid-june and when I called Su-Ann she just said that the paperwork was in, and they were looking into it. I have 20's in the DAT sections and so-so GPA so maybe they are just waiting to send me the big rejection letter.

If I am not mistaken, a wallflower is someone or something that just hangs around and watches and listens without speaking or giving feedback.

The term 'wallflower' is usually applied to a person that sits out at a dance and merely watches the group. I am unsure of toothcaries' intent behind the word: perhaps trying to get Veneto to be more aggressive and call Nova back?
