I am planning on applying for the fall 2015 semester. I have all of my pre-reqs in order, a bachelor in biological health science, shadowed, and will be working part-time in a clinic this summer. I am a high school science teacher and have a GPA of 3.05, which I know is pretty low. I have not yet taken my OAT (scheduled for May). I am looking for advice on ways to improve my application. Would it be worth my time to become a certified optician? I would really appreciate any advice or tips.

Honestly, your app looks great. Your GPA is a little low..but not horrible. I would just make SURE you do well on that OAT though. Write a killer personal statement, and maybe do some volunteering? Other than that I think you are good.
