By far the most important thing you can do is study hard and learn medicine.
Keep an open mind. You may hate derm and like something else. Also realize that you may not do as well as you think you're going to. I'm not trying to bring you down, but it is helpful to mentally give yourself some slack in case things don't go the way you hope they will.
