Any advice for a PhD in global health? I have a clear topical area of interest and have been working in that field since graduation, but im not really sure how global health research is structured, or the specificity required.

Understanding important questions that need to be researched is something key to demonstrate. Read many papers in the field or a few journals to get an idea of what types of questions are being researched. That should be a good starting point. Next, reach out to some faculty you're interested in working with and see if they'll answer a few questions for you.
