Hello,

So I've recently became interested in pharmacy since I have just obtained a pharmacy technician position at CVS. Anyhow I took about half my prereqs already at community college and have a B.S. in Animal Science from Cornell. I was originally pre-vet and decided to not finish off the rest of my prereqs for vet school because I wasn't doing so well. I received a W in Organic Chem I 🙁 Overall at Cornell, I performed well in most of my upper science courses. Since I already have a B.S. degree it's very difficult to get financial aid. I can't get any loans because I don't have a credit history and my family has poor credit history. So since I work the only affordable option for me is attending a CC to finish my prereqs. I still need to take Orgo I/II, Physics I/II, and Economics. Will it look bad if I continue to take my prereqs at a CC? I just cannot afford university tuition and I'm not sure what else to do. If I were to take these classes at a CC, is Orgo/Physics doable in one semester while working full time? I would appreciate any insight, thanks!

I dont think it will look bad at all, but if by any chance you get asked why did you go to a CC to finish your prereqs in an interview, you can just tell them what you are writing here. Orgo and Physics are hard classes, and you need to take the lab with both of them. I took Orgo 1 and Physics 1 together, but then again, I just hard a part-time job... You have to look at your schedule and see if you have time to take 4 classes and still have time to study 🙂
