ok i am a freshmen in the school of engineering at rutgers university . I am taking chemistry for engineers which is a 3 credit class. I added a 1 credit lab to my schedule. I was wondering if dental schools would look at it as a 4 credit class which most dental schools require. UMDNJ is my state school and called them. They said it maybe ok but i dont know if they understood my question fully. Any advice? Rutgers gives a 4 credit chemistry without lab and lab would make it 5 credits. However, i have no time in my schedule for it so then i would have to drop physics which is also another pre req. BTW, most of the classes are full there is only 1 chem class left and no phys left. I saw on nyu website that they want 6-8 hrs. Im leaning towards taking chem for engineers and if they want me to take chem 1 again later i will after i finish my major requirements but i still don't know. Advice would be appreciated. I am also a Biomedical engineering major so i will get the prereqs already in my major

I don't think it matters, I took Orgo I + lab (3 + 2 = 5 credits). Same with Gen. Chem and Orgo II.
