Hey guys tommorow I have a interview at UMDNJ-Newark. Was wondering if there was anything I should look for at that school that maybe was a concern to you when you visitted there. Any tips too. I basically went over all the interview feedback for the school and the website info.
thanks
im real excited

come on guys help me out !!!

Hey, i haven't interviewed there but i work there. I know MANY of the people at the university are concerned with the prospect of the University merger plan. Gov. McGreevey has a plan to model NJ's colleges after the university of California system. There is alot of info on the web about it. Good luck tomorrow!

Relax and you will be just fine. The interview there is laid back. If you are lucky you will get Mr. Lonnie Wright, he is an awesome person and really tries to get to know who you are. Regardless of who you get, I think its important to show a deep interest in the school. They tend to favor NJ residents or those who have close ties. I replied to a thread here about 2 days ago giving some general info about the school. I'm sure you've done your research though. Just arrive a little early so you can get a parking spot and not panic about being late. Good luck to you.

I really enjoyed my interview there. My interviewer was great, and we had a really nice conversation. I could tell that he had really taken the time to study my application. I'd read their viewbook they sent with the supplemental application. It has a lot of good info about the school. Since I'm not from NJ (I'm from NYC), they really wanted to know what I applied to NJMS, so it helped to know a lot about the school.

My only other advice: bring a book! I had a two hour break between my interview and the tour. It doesn't take that long to get lunch. Oh, and if they forget to offer it to you, ask one of the administrative assistants for a lunch voucher. They do have them, but not everyone needs one (e.g. if they have a late interview time), so it's not uncommon for them to forget to give you one.

thanks alot for the info im really psyched about it.
