Hi, I will be applying this upcoming cycle and was considering my chances. If anyone could help, I'd be grateful!

GPA is 3.34
DAT: I got a 17, but will have to retake because i got a 15 in OCHEM 🙁
Shadowing: 100+ hours
Volunteering:500+
Extracurriculars: On E-board for 3 clubs, internship with non-profit org, certificate in human rights, and also active in about 5-6 clubs

Please help me with how I could be more strong with my application. Also, any helpful advice on DAT would be beneficial. I will be taking it (hopefully) in Mid-May

What did you use to study for ochem?

Looks like your volunteering and shadowing hours are good to go, I would just work on your DAT mostly! Also a well-written personal statement is needed. 🙂 Have you gotten your LORs yet?

I am going to ask for my letter of recs by the end of this month! I really only used Chad's reviews but didn't use his outlines. I also got the DAT destroyer to hopefully help it. Thank you so much 🙂 how did you study for ochem?

I used Chads, Destroyer, and my own personal notes from Ochem. I really loved Ochem when I was taking it, so studying for it was easier than the others. But I just did a million practice questions wherever I could get them. So destroyer was perfect. Also used Bootcamp to test. Harder than the actual test, so it made you work a little harder and made the actual test seem much easier 🙂

I only used the destroyer to study for Orgo and got a 29 on that section. Really know every question in the destroyer inside out.

If you write a killer personal statement and get around a 20 or higher on the DAT, you will be offered a few interviews.
