Advice for USMLE KAPLAN STEP 1 HOME STUDY PROGRAM

I am debating whether the Kaplan 4 book USMLE Step 1 Home Study Program is the way to go for studying for the boards...I'd like to hear people's thoughts about those who they know have bought this set, or if you personally have bought this set

1) Was it helpful?
2) Would you recommend it?
3) Would you still need to supplement this program with other texts?
4) What were its strengths and weaknesses?

1. YES
2. YES
3. YES: High Yield Behavioral, Robbins QBook
4. excellent organization of very detailed material. strong in the three major subjects (path, pathophys and pharm).

These books were crucial to my success in Step 1, and I highly recommend them.
