Advice: how many schools?

Hi guys,

First time applicant here. I'm applying to both MD and DO programs this year, but I only applied to 4 DO schools - Midwestern (Chicago), Des Moines, Tuoro, and NYCOM. I'm an Illinois resident from Chicago so my first DO choice is Midwestern. My stats are cGPA: 3.41 sGPA: 3.9 MCAT: 35.

Do you think I should apply to more DO schools to play it safe?

Forgot to mention that I'm a non-trad with a non-science background who completed the science coursework in a post-bacc program. Hence the disparity in cGPA and sGPA.

I think you'll be fine. Your numbers are going to make you competitive, so you should be able to limit the applications to places you really want to attend.
