[/B]once i finish my premed classes i was going to apply to a postbac program, (most likely drexel or upenn, once again) and work from there....does this sound like a reasonable plan or is all hope lost?
also ive been working in a genetics lab at childrens hospital for the past two years...will that be an advantage?

thanks

I think you're better off taking classes at a school other than UPenn. Will schools look down upon it? Maybe, but if you keep getting Cs and Ds in the prereqs your application just won't be considered. Penn is a very difficult school to be a premed at and while I think postbac is a good idea and necessary in your case, I'm not sure doing one at U Penn would be that good an idea as from what I've heard it's just as hard as the undergrad. Definitely research and volunteering are good things and you should continue to do them. Your first priority, though, should be to raise your GPA. If you can get it over 3.0, then a SMP would probably be the next step.
