I am in need of some advice and suggestions of when to apply to the match this year. I am a medical student in my last yr abroad, and will graduate in about a month. I am a US citizen. I have taken step 1 already, got in the 230's. I took step 2cs and will get my results starting from Oct 9. I have not taken step 2ck and was planning to take that after i graduated, most likely in December. I also have 4 LORS already uploaded to ERAS. Here are my questions....
HOw much of a difference would there be of applying Oct 9 compared to sept 15 in terms of getting interviews? I will have my step 2cs results by then and with it showing I passed, I will be able to apply to a lot of programs not worrying that I failed it. I am very confident I will pass step 2ck no problem....
Should I apply this year still or should I apply next year on sept 15 with all my step scores already taken?
HOw much will it hurt me applying to programs with out step 2cs results and step 2ck results in on sept 15?
I plan on applying to IM only........ I am open to practice anywhere just as long as I get an IM position......
