WIll taking the MCAT a week later in Aug drastically my chances? Originally I was planning to take it Aug. 5th, but now there are no more seats available at my location for that date (waited for FAP to be approved, it was just approved today). So, now I'm looking at Aug. 12th..

Also, I'm really not sure when I should have things in. Currently, I do have an old MCAT score, but it's not good (low 20s). And so I'm retaking my MCAT.. but I'm really confused and stressed out about this process. When should I have my TMDSAS application in, and also, when should I submit my secondaries? Should I submit my primaries now with my old MCAT score? How would the schools handle my application since my new MCAT score will not be in until Sept??

Any advice would greatly be appreciated! Thanks!

Taking the MCAT so late will hurt your chances. Some people may have interviewed by the time you're primary gets submitted. That said, someone I know didn't take her MCAT last year until August and was still accepted to at least one state school. I don't know what her stats were, so I have no idea if she was a stellar or average applicant.

It can be done, but it will be difficult. If you're going to apply this cycle, you should get your apps in ASAP such that they will be ready to go when your new score gets released. Mark that you're submitting a new MCAT score in the future and hope for the best.
