I am currently attending community college. I have one semester left , and I will have my associate degree in liberal arts. I want to become a dentist and go to dental school. So I applied to hunter college ( CUNY NEW YORK). I have two concerns ; 1- I need to pick a major, I understand that dental schools aren't very specific with what type of BA you have as long as you pass the DATS exam. I spoke to one of my old orthodontist and he said that biology would be the worst degree to get unless you get into dental school right away. Because if you don't, a biology degree won't get you far and won't pay well either. He told me that I need to major in a skill not a study. Any advice ?

Major in something you actually like. May it be literature, English comp, history, etc. Keep the pre-requisite courses spread out so you ACE THEM. Key word is ACE. I majored in psych because I actually liked it. It brought my overall GPA up for sure. Definitely pick something you enjoy studying.
