Advice Needed:Temporary Assignment Program at Regional Hospital

Recently interviewed at a Hospital in Southern California and got an offer as a Pharmacist Per Diem (no benefits). Was anyone in a similar situation and this turned into a Staff Position with benefits. I know it depends, serious advice please.

One hospital in my region actually hires all their full time people this way.
