Hey all,

I just finished DIT and have 5 days left until my exam. However, I still have 50% left to do on UWorld.

Should do as DIT says (read and review 120 pgs of FA/per day to get 1 complete read of FA)?

Or

Should I drop FA and do 4 blocks of UWorld/day and review questions so that I finish all of UWorld before D-Day?

What do you think?

Do as much UW as you can.

If you want to maximize your score, I'd say spend 11 hrs/day on UW (eg, 7am-7pm, 1hr for lunch + dinner) then 3-5 hours FA review (7-10 or 12). I'm a firm believer in cramming as much as you can into your intermediate term memory.

R U taking step 1 USMLE or COMLEX. ?

USMLE Step 1

Thanks for the responses, I think I will try the hybrid. Hope it's not too big of a gamble. The only thing that scares me is not getting in some of the HY facts from FA last few days prior to the exam.

I think you should def read the entirety of FA one more time, and then all the time your not doing that, do Uworld.

hmm mixed responses. Back to a pickle. Solidifying my knowledge base with FA one more time would give me a better gut feeling going into the test knowing atleast I covered everything. On the other hand, potentially doing 600-800 UWorld question would be more of an active review with more practice with question stems and stamina building.

If anybody else has some input, please post! My 5 days starts tomorrow!

1) do as many questions as you can for the four days preceding the test. Last day off.
2) for didactic, focus on the high yield/recall based subject. Go over the pharm and microbio section in FA one more time.
3) look at pictures and "power review" at the back of FA
4) goljan HY note the day before (abridged version), then rest.

You should do more questions and improve your weaknesses, while i do agree that you should do lot of questions but i wouldn't recommend studying for 11 to 12 hours a day especially 5 or 6 days before exam. If your test is in the AM, then you should start getting up early and make a habit of doing qbank from 8am till 1pm, and go over your wrong answers. Read FA for the stuff that you think you need more improvement. You don't want to get your brain to be exhausted before your exam do you ??

You don't have to do this, but this is how i did and it worked well for me.

Good luck

Luckily FA finally figured out how to incorporate the pictures with the texts...
