So I am applying this upcoming cycle and do not have any official shadowing experience. However, I did work as an ER tech for 8 months and have volunteered as an EMT for 2 years. I am still looking for shadowing opportunities, but you know... Covid. Will this lack of shadowing hold me back if I am unable to get anything by the time I apply?

A lot of times scribing unofficially counts as shadowing so I'd imagine being an ER tech and an EMT would be similar as you're seeing the doctor patient relationship
