Can some of you stellar, insightful rads out there shed some light here please. Im finishing up my second year in medschool, getting ready for step1. What would you do: 1. Read the Robbins path book or 2. Ready ONLY the BRS or Goljan for pathology?

Here's my deal. There is only so much time, and reading that big ass book can be daunting and you can get sunk in details, missing the main focus. So can some of you guys please advise me on this. Im interested in rads and need a high step score.

Thanks

You need to post this in the step 1 thread, not the rads thread. Mods will move it. Anyhow, rapid review path was an excellent book for path review, but focus on USMLE World questions and First Aid, that's your key. Good luck.

Sorry, thank you.

while robbins is an excellent textbook, don't waste your time for step 1. I'll put another vote in for first aid, usmle world (all the questions & read all answers), brs path, brs phys, rapid review biochem (a little overboard, but a great book), micro & pharm brs flash cards, hy psych/behavioral med.

Thank you, I appreciate your input..!!

But let me give a few details as to why I posted this here. You see, you rads guys compose a large community of bright individuals. All of you scored well on the step, so getting advice from some who did well would be the way to go. Find out what works, what strategies the successful used and duplicate it.

Technically my post was in the wrong category, but this was purposeful. I wanted advice from the best and not a bunch of goobers who are clueless.

Thanks....

If you can look past the ass-kissing, he makes a good point. 👍
